Organic Calendula Oil
Information
Calendula is one of the oldest of all
cultivated flowers. The plant was described in the Third Century, BC and
was an important part of the gardens of 5th Century France. It would be one of my top healing picks for first aid situations if outside, along with plantain & yarrow!
Calendula has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that make it so very useful in healing:
- wounds
- burns
- abrasions
- oral health
- eczema
- scars from acne or surgery
- treating vaginal yeast infections
- diaper rash
- Non sting & gentle, so perfect for babies & children (this would be our choice for baby, over kawakawa oil)
Calendula promotes wound healing while reducing inflammation. It has antiseptic properties, which are helpful for treating wounds and preventing acne.
As a skin conditioner, Calendula stimulates collagen production and it also reduces the occurrence of dry skin.
Emotionally/spiritually, Calendula can help those who find it hard to communicate clearly, it aids in helping them to do so with warmth & depth, allowing them to receive the messages of others and communicate from their hearts in a way that brings understanding for both. Calendula is used to help people learn to communicate in a Spiritual way, one that’s receptive of and open to creative and healing communication.
Seeing Calendula flowering outside in winter always brings a smile to my face and such gratitude for the world around us.
