The fresh herb is only used topically, when needed, to treat conditions such as the above, not internally.
Arnica oil is best made from the fresh flowers and used when needed. You can make a balm with the oil, or a fresh poultice on the area.
Arnica combines well with St. John's Wort and Cayenne for rheumatic type conditions, applied as an oil or balm.
